New Management Team Announced

Racing Club Warwick are delighted to announce the appointment of Jack Edwards and Chris Knott as the club’s new Joint First-Team Managers.

Jack joined the club in the summer from Leamington following an 11-year spell in which he made 456 appearances for the club. Since arriving at Townsend Meadow, Jack has continued to be a key figure for the Racers and has made 31 appearances this season

 

Chris Knott joins alongside Jack, Chris was unfortunately forced to retire from playing at the age of 26, He began his management journey at Knowle, initially working with the Reserves before progressing to Assistant Manager and then First-Team Manager. He later stepped away from the role to focus on gaining further coaching qualifications.

Chris achieved his UEFA A License in April 2018. He has worked as an Opposition Analyst at Lowestoft Town and served as First Team Coach at Heather St Johns. Chris later joined Leamington as First Team Coach under Paul Holleran, and earlier this season stepped up as Interim Manager following Paul Holleran’s resignation.

 

Joining Jack and Chris as First Team Coach is Lewis Marston.

A UEFA B Licensed coach, Lewis began his managerial career with two successful seasons as Head Coach of Leamington FC U23s, guiding the side to back-to-back trophies. including an the 2021/22 campaign, where Leamington lost just once to win the Midland Football League Reserve Division title.

Lewis then moved to Pershore Town, leading the club to an 11th-place finish in their first season at Step 5. This season he was in charge of FC Stratford, before later joining the coaching staff at Leamington alongside Chris Knott.

 

The new management team will be supported by the club’s current backroom staff:

Chris Cook – Goalkeeper Coach

Anna Poole – Physio

Rob Hartshorn – Coach

We have been both humbled and astounded by the number and quality of applications and enquiries received from across the non-league game and beyond. It is a testament to the progress the club has made and the exciting direction in which Racing Club Warwick is moving.
