Chairman End of Season Message

Chairman End of Season Message

As we bring another season to a close, I think it’s fair to say this has been one of the most memorable in the history of Racing Club Warwick.

The standout moment, without question, was our first team’s dramatic playoff final victory to secure promotion to Step 3. It was a day that will live long in the memory of everyone connected with the club.
I would also like to thank every one of our players, who have been outstanding for us this season. They are a really great group of lads and one that we are all incredibly proud of.

Since Chris, Jack and Lewis came into the group in March, there has been a clear shift. The squad was galvanised, and that unity and belief showed both on and off the pitch right through to that final moment. They said what they could offer and add to the club, and our faith in them has certainly been justified.

They, along with Anna and Chris as part of the wider management team, deserve a huge amount of credit for what has been achieved in a short space of time.

We also saw Scott, Callum, Gary and Rob move on in March to pastures new. We thank them for their time at the club and wish them all the very best for the future.

Across the club, there has been so much more to celebrate. Our academy section continues to go from strength to strength. The floodlit league win was a fantastic achievement and a real reflection of the hard work being put in by players, coaches and parents week in, week out.

Our Under 19s also deserve special mention. To take the National League title race right through to the final week of the season and finish as runners-up is a tremendous achievement. The players and staff should be incredibly proud of what they have accomplished, and they continue to demonstrate the quality and pathway we are building for the future of the club.

I would also like to place on record special thanks to Matt, Kieron, Dylan, Anna, Chris, Harry, Josh, Anastasia and Matty P for their work within the academy setup this season. Their commitment and effort are a huge part of the progress we are seeing.

Our academy is now hugely oversubscribed, which is a clear reflection of the environment that has been created, and a credit to the people named above who continue to drive it forward day to day.
As a genuine community club, it’s also important to us that we remain accessible to everyone. We are also incredibly proud of our partnerships across the community, including our walking football programme and our work with Leamington Lions Ladies and Girls, both of which continue to grow and play an important role in what we offer locally.

Despite our progress on the pitch, we will continue to keep our already extremely low season ticket and entry prices significantly lower than other clubs across the country. That commitment to our community will not change.

None of this success happens in isolation.
I would like to place on record my sincere thanks to our committee, who continue to work tirelessly behind the scenes to move the club forward. In particular, special thanks must go to my Vice Chairman Ryan, who commits an incredible amount of time and effort. We really are a strong partnership, and the club benefits from that every day. I would also like to thank Kevin, Phil and Ruth for their ongoing support and contribution throughout the season.

The same goes for our volunteers, who give up their time week in, week out, often without recognition, to ensure everything runs smoothly.

I would also like to thank our bar staff and our turnstile staff, especially Eloise, who are often the first and last people our supporters interact with on a matchday and play a huge part in the overall experience at the club.

To our supporters, home and away, your backing this season has been incredible. You have played a huge part in creating an environment that drives the players on, especially in those big moments.
And finally, to all of our players across every age group, thank you.

You represent this club with pride and commitment, and you are the reason we continue to grow both on and off the pitch.

This season will be remembered for its success, but more importantly, it shows the direction we are heading as a football club. We will continue to build, continue to improve, and continue to serve our community.

Enjoy the summer, and we look forward to seeing you all again next season.
