Racing Club Warwick edged further ahead of Atherstone in their promotion push with a 4-2 win over Studley.
Warwick started well when a corner was headed home by Joe Smith on two minutes. The dangerous Sean Brain equalised on 13 minutes when Charlie Bannister could only push out a shot and Brain smashed home. Ben Mackey restored the lead on 22 after a fine half volley finish ended a great Racing move. Mackey added his second on the day and his 30th of the season on 42 when he prodded home.
Danny Bartle added a fourth on 53 minutes after Mackey had done well to win the ball back and cleverly feed Bartle to thump home. It was looking like a drubbing now which could be beneficial in the promotion push but Studley started to look more composed with the game gone and Brain added his second after a long ball saw him run in and coolly slot home.
Racing held out and go into the crunch away fixture at Heather on Saturday.
