Racing Club returned to winning ways to put their promotion chase back on course with a last gasp Ben Mackey winner at Chelmsley Town.
Mackey's guided header in the 92nd minute after Sean Castleton had headed back across goal from a corner puts Racing back into second ahead of Atherstone on goal difference.
The Racers were again without several key players and the bench was filled with Semahimbo from the academy and two new signings Shay Nicholson and Matteo Ninna both from Coventry United.
The game started slowly with both sides unable to force much in the final third. A Town free kick almost opened the scoring but just went over from 25 yards. Trea Bertie forced the Town keeper into a good save on 40 minutes but the half was one of few chances.
The second half was much the same but Town were looking the more dangerous. Henry Leaver cleared a shot off the line and a few last ditch tackles prevented half chances from testing Charlie Bannister but the Racing stopper was called upon to make a fine save pushing a long range effort onto the bar and over. Luke Cole and George Curry were forced off with knocks and were replaced by Semahimbo and Nicholson and Semahimbo twice got in behind the right back and produced good crosses that just evaded Mackey and Bertie. It looked as though more points were going to be dropped when Semahimbo forced a corner well into injury time. Leaver crossed and Castleton rose well to head the ball back across to Mackey who guided the ball home into the top corner to the relief of the travelling contingent.
