Racing Club Warwick dismantled fourth placed Atherstone just two days after beating second places Ilkeston and secured a third win of the week.
A welcome return from Joe Smith lasted just a few minutes as he hobbled off to be replaced in the centre by Marc Passey with Callum Bell coming on at right back.
Warwick started brightly and a Trea Bertie cross was fired over from Sean Kavanagh. Tom Cross saved well with his feet with Harry Walker-Donavan put through.
Warwick took the lead on 13 minutes. A Martin Hutchcox free-kick saw Henry Leaver cross first time for Sean Kavangh to nod in at the near post. On 26 minutes it was two after a clever pass from Martin Slevin saw Luke Cole hold off the challenge before left footing home.
Liam Kirton pulled a goal back on 33 minutes with a nice headed finish from a pin point cross and Luke Cole was adjudged offside when it looked like he had restored the two goal lead. Cole then headed just over as the Adders struggled to contain him and the Warwick attack.
Second half and Atherstone almost equalised with the ball flashing across the six yard box from a Jonathan Gould cross. Trea Bertie then controlled well and beat two players before rounding the keeper who brought him down. Up stepped Martin Slevin to claim his third spot kick goal in 48 hours. Bertie then set Luke Cole up but his shot went over before a long Wade Malley throw saw Cole superbly head in off the underside of the cross bar.
A magnificent week for Warwick who now go to Champions elect Walsall Wood on Saturday looking to spoil the party for their hosts.
Warwick then host Cadbury on tuesday, Leicester Road on Thursday and Hinckley on Saturday.
