Racing Club Warwick's excellent form on the road continued with a 2-5 win in Staffordshire. With 13 goals in the last three games on their travels, Warwick never looked in trouble with 2 goals from Sean Kavanagh and Wade Malley and a delightful 20 yard curling effort from Trea Bertie ensuring the three points went back to Warwick as they look to cement that FA Cup place. After the heartbreak last season and missing out on an FA Cup place on goal difference, Racing look to put as many points on the board as possible in the final run-in before attempting to win 2 cups in May. Sean Kavanagh almost put Warwick ahead on 2 occasions. The first after a Luke Cole knock down and the second after a Bertie Cross but both efforts just failed to trouble the scoreline. It was on 16 minutes that Warwick opened up their account. A Tom Cross long ball was superbly trapped by Bertie who shuffled the ball wide before unleashing a powerful curling effort into the top corner. Malley almost doubled the lead but fired at the keeper before he did score on 23 minutes. A Bertie cross was well controlled before Malley coolly slotted home at the far post.

It was looking comfortable for Warwick before a super headed goal on 39 minutes from Ollie Ritchie reduced the defecit.

Uttoxeter came out second half and were on top early on before Malley again scored to ease any Warwick fears. A superb Martin Slevin cross evaded the defensive line for Malley ghost in at the far post to half volley home on 62. Uttoxeter came back again and James Curley scored from the penalty spot on 69 but this spurred Warwick on once more. Another Slevin cross, this time from a corner, was superbly picked up by Kavanagh who unmarked fired home from close range. Kavanagh then doubled his account after an Alex Price free-kick was cleared to the edge of box for Kavanagh to control, swivel and fire home.

A professional job from Warwick who now look to take on second placed Ilkeston Town at home on Tuesday before tough away days to Atherstone on Thursday and Champions elect Walsall Wood on Saturday.
