Racing Club Warwick were held to a draw by a plucky Cadbury Athletic as the Racers looked to win a tenth straight league game. On a bumpy pitch Cadbury gave Racing a fantastic game and almost took the lead when they were awarded a penalty when Hutchcox brought down the Cadbury player. O'Dane Barnes stepped up but Tom Cross superbly saved to his left. Sean Kavanagh hit a dipping half volley but in a first half of few chances it didn't take long for Athletic to open the scoring in the second when the effective Barnes shrugged off challenges to poke past the advancing Cross. Warwick upped their game and Lewis Hudson proved a constant threat down the left providing several opportunities for Luke Cole and Rich Powell who both narrowly fired over as Warwick searched for the equaliser. The introduction of Josh Blake and Trea Bertie, making his debut, kept Cadbury on the back foot and a smart turn and shot by Bertie was well blocked. Cadbury were reduced to ten men when Hudson wasa stupidly kicked off the ball and the final 20 minutes was all Warwick. The reward for the pressure against the tiring Cadbury side came when Powell thumped home after good work from Blake on the left. Powell almost scored minutes later with a similar chance but the ball agonisingly fired over the bar. Luke Cole came within inches of winning the game with a powerful header at the death but it was not to be.
