Racing Club Warwick notched up a seventh straight win with a solid performance at Stafford Town. From the off Warwick moved the ball well on the artificial surface and a slide pass from Powell saw Luke Cole fire just over. A fine move saw O'Grady set Slevin but his 30 yard shot was tipped wide and the resulting corner saw Slevin's shot cleared off the line. A Powell cross pass put O'Grady through but his effort was well saved by the keeper. Stafford almost scored against the run of play but the striker fired wide. Lovely one touch football on the right involving O'Grady, Cole saw Jack Taylor cut a ball back for Slevin but his shot was superbly blocked. Then from the left, Slevin, Powell and Billington combined for Cole to side foot inches wide. It was all Warwick now and on 31 minutes O'Grady turned in his own half and slipped a delightful ball through for Powell who calmly clipped the ball over the keeper. O'Grady and Powell combined well to feed Taylor whos shot was tipped over by the keeper before the resulting corner saw Kavanagh's flicked header cleared off the line. 41 minutes and Powell fed Kavanagh who went outside then inside the defender before drilling home low into the corner. Some pressure from Stafford then resulted in them pulling one back just before the break with a shot deflected in. For all the Warwick possession Stafford almost equalised early second half with a shot just wide of Cross's post. This was the spur for Warwick to push on. O'Grady won a free-kick after cutting inside but his free kick was straight at the keeper. Leaver and Slevin then played a clever double one-two before a Leaver cross from outside of his boot found Kavanagh who's looping header restored the two goal cushion. It was all Warwick now and good football saw a Kavanagh shot well saved by the keeper. Kavanagh, on a hatrick, just failed to get onto an O'Grady cross shot and was denied with a great save by the keeper before long range efforts from Powell and Josh Cole went just wide. O'Grady then beat the full back to slip in Powell who's first time shot was superbly saved by the keeper.
