Racing Club Warwick secured three points against Uttoxeter in an entertaining game at Townsend Meadow. Racers keeper Tom Cross was called into action early on pushing a Uttoxeter effort onto the bar with an outstanding save. Warwick hit the post early on with Kavanagh stretching at the far post to hook the ball back onto the upright and Luke Church did superbly well to wriggle past the left back before firing high with the keeper to beat. With Uttoxeter sitting deep they were restricted to break-away attacks and this method saw them take the lead. With both Price and Passey to beat the forward did just that before sliding home past Cross on 18 minutes. Warwick quickly equalised with Church sliding the ball through for Billington to calmly right foot home. Slevin fired a penalty home on 48 after the Town keeper inexplicably pushed over Kavanagh going away from goal and on 62 a Slevin corner was cleverly flicked in by Church to give Warwick a cushion. Manoochehri and the returning Josh Blake came on for Kavanagh and Knight and the duo caused Uttoxeter problems. Blake almost got his debut goal but the keeper saved bravely with the ex Leamington hitman getting his studs to the ball. Warwick then made it hard for themselves gifting their opponents to a goal on 82. Manoochehri hit the bar after lobbing the keeper and Blake put in a wonder cross behind the backline but Manoochehri put the shot wide. Warwick entertain Clipstone FC on Saturday in the FA Vase.
