After the boxing day 15-0 record club win over their local rivals this was never going to be as easy but Racing Club, looking for an FA cup place, made extremely hard work of it. It started well for Warwick when Coleman did well doen the left and put in a fabulous cross that Malley guided delightfully with his head to make it 0-1 after 11 minutes. Brown could of made it two minutes later but the keeper saved well. Southam equalized on 17 when Turton headed home unmarked. Second half and Brown should of scored but hit the post from close range and another fine cross from Coleman saw Nwusos shot saved well by the keeper. Malley then raced onto a through ball bit fired just wide with the keeper closing down. Nwuso then fired a shot at straight at the keeper and when Malley was denied with another fine save it looked like the three points were never going to come until captain Reynolds was upended in the box. Slevin stepped up to fire the ball high to the keepers right and the relief was evident. Malley had a super effort wonderfully tipped onto the bar and Harbon made good ground before firing over. Racing will need an improvement on Saturday against Heather as they look to garner the points to take them to an FA cup place.
