Racing Club Warwick went to Tamworth looking for a big response following their late collapse against Hinckley and came away with the three points after a solid showing. With two new signings, Delaney and Church filling the ranks and players coming back from injury Racing quickly went on the front foot. Brown went close on 8 minutes but the keeper saved well before a Checketts header was superbly saved. Lucky Nwuso returning to the side caused Swifts problems and it was the Warwick flyer who opened the scoring, with Price delightfully sending the left back through before calmly slotting home. Minutes later and a superb through ball from Slevin saw Brown make no mistake this time as he run half the length of the pitch before firing past the keeper. Bolehall pulled one back with a fine cross and headed finish but not before some controversy as Checketts was clearly fouled in the move before the ball was crossed in. Racing had several chances to put the game to bed and Malley was Unlucky not to get the third after pace and strength got him a shot that the keeper saved brilliantly. A Brown turn and shot was cleared off the line and Checketts cleared off the line late on for Warwick, but it was a deserved three points that will lift the gold and black before the visit of champions elect Bromsgrove on Tuesday night.
