Racing Club Warwick ended a two game run of defeats with a plucky draw at Lichfield City. City started brightly and were unlucky on two occasions with efforts that just went wide as Warwick took time to settle down on a wet and uneven pitch. A fine move involving Brown, Harbon and Malley saw Malley fire over on the volley. On 19 minutes Jones put Lichfield ahead after a collision between Piggott in the Racing goal saw the striker slot home. The lead was shortlived though. Brown beat the rightback twice before putting a ball into malley who delightfully chipped the keeper.Lichfield restored the lead before the break after Piggott parried a cross down for Hunt to fire home low. Second half and Warwick needed to up their game. A hutchcox freekick went close and a last ditch tackle on Malley prevented the equaliser before Malley jinked his way into the box before Haines brough him down. Slevin cooly fired home to setup a breathless last 10 minutes. Piggott produced 2 fine saves and Malley almost gave the visitors the win but a draw was a fair result in a game that could of been 6 each. Racing go to Chelmsley on Saturday.
