Warwick followed up their record breaking win over Southam with a resilient performance against league leaders Bromsgrove. In front of a near 800 crowd Racing almost took the league when Malley's shot was well saved. Malley was then close to getting away from the Bromsgrove backline but was adjudged offside twice when through on goal. Racing were mopping up all of Bromsgrove's long balls into their area but Lucky Nwuso, making his return to the ground he got U21 player of the year in 2016, was late in a tackle and Bromsgrove scored from the spot. This didn't faze Warwick and they came back strongly. A quick switch of play from left to right from Smith and Brown saw Wright's shot saved but Malley was there to prod home. Second half and Racing survived a Sporting onslaught in the first 10 minutes. Caviezel Cox was called on to make two good stops and Buswell and Hutchcox threw themselves on the line to block fierce drives. Racing still looked dangerous on the break and Malley almost silenced the large crowd, beating two players before firing at the keeper. With nine minutes injury time, Racing's fans nerves were in shreds but a magical save from Caviezel Cox, pushing the ball onto the bar from a volley from 12 yards gave Racing the point they deserved. Warwick go into Bank Holiday Monday's game and the New Year in 5th place and in good form with players to come back from injury and suspension and targeting a best league position for ten years. Joint MOM Buswell, Caviezel Cox.
