Racing Club Warwick got back to winning ways in dramatic fashion and ended the day fourth in the league. In an absolute downpour the match was probably saved by virtue of Stafford's newly lain artificial surface but within 20 minutes the Racing Support probably wished the pitch was under a foot of water! with just nine on the clock the lively Redhsaw turned and fried Stafford into the lead and but for a fine stop by Piggott should of made it 2 minutes later. Warwick looked ragged and were not helped when Buswell limped off with a knee problem. Twenty in and Stafford made it two when Pace found Machingauta in acres of space to slot home. This finally woke Warwick up and minutes later a corner from Brown was headed home by Turton. Redshaw fired inches wide for Stafford before Malley chased down a poor back pass to beat the keeper and equalise for Racing. The second half saw no end to the downpour and Stafford were again quick out of the blocks. Redshaw got his second after a fine ball in by Day-Dowling saw him prod home. Pacey then hit a great free-kick which Piggott saved superbly before again denying Redshaw with a finger tip save to keep Warwick in the game before Alderman saved well at the other end. Warwick introduced Harbon who immediately provided good width and strectRacing struck a post before Brown eventually fired level on 84. Beating four men coming in from the right it looked like he may have taken it too far to the left but he unleashed an unstoppable shot high into the net. Malley then seized upon some defensive uncertainty to cleverly set himself free and fire hard and low to win the game with time almost up. Racing kept the ball well to see out the game and go into Boxing Day's local derby clash with Southam. MOM Price
