Racing Club Warwick entertained a young and well drilled Pelsall Villa looking to get back to winning ways and came away with all three points in an entertaining game at Townsend Meadow. Pelsall started brightly and a world class save from Piggott making his debut in goal prevented the deadlock being brokenl. With Brown and Malley looking lively and Slevin and Reynolds pulling the strings behind them in Alex Prices absence, Racing pressed forward. Robinson and Nwuso making their debuts on the flanks pushed Villa back and it was no surprise when Brown weaved through and calmly slotted home after good interchange play.on 30. Malley almost added a second at the far post after a delightful Brown cross but Racing fully deserved the half time lead. Second half and Robinson was replaced by Hobbs and Pelsall produced some fine football for 20 minutes. Piggott was called upon to make some fine stops and the defense of Hutchcox, Turton, and the impressive Mansion, again stepping up from youth like he'd played 100 games, forming a barrier intent on preserving the lead. It was against the run of play on 60 minutes when Malley picked up a ball on the left and destroyed the full back before unleashing a shot the the keeper did well to avoid...what a goal. Malley almost scored again but lifted his chipped effort just over and Brown had another shot well saved. Wright came on or the inform Morton who had had one of his quiter games and Evans came on for the impressive Hutchcox who injured an ankle late on.
