Racing Club Warwick travelled the short distance to face old division one adversaries Studley in the FA Vase and came away with their name in the hat for the next round.
On a warm afternoon, Racing begun with Adam Miles shuffling to left back with the absence of Danny Fraser and Joe Smith partnering Sean Castleton with skipper Scott Turner still absent. Racing also had Luke Cole back on the bench alongside Kevin Thornton.
Studley started brightly and put Racing on the back foot early doors but Muzzy Nduna fired over before a fabulous effort from Ciaron Houston went just over the bar in a half that offered very little in chances.
The second half was different. Josh Cole slipped in Houston who was brought down by the keeper. Up stepped Curvin Ellis but his penalty was well saved by the Studley keeper Wright.
Westwood forced a good save from Charlie Bannister before Racing finally broke the deadlock on 60 minutes a minute after a double substitution saw Jarrell Hylton and Thornton introduced. A long ball from Castleton saw Ellis flick on for Hylton who came inside and drove the ball home from 20 yards. Just a minute later and Racing doubled the lead. Amenku fed Ellis who cleverly placed home from the edge of the box despite being closed down by several defenders.
Always a threat to Racing, Odane Barnes gave Studley hope in the last few minutes after prodding home from close range but Racing held out to advance to the next round.
