Racing Club Warwick moved up to second in the table with games in hand after dismantling Nuneaton Griff on Tuesday night.

After beating Heather St John's on Saturday it was vital Racers took the points against Griff who had themselves picked up their first win of the season under a new Manager and they got off to the best of starts when Ben Mackey fired home on 5 minutes. Charlie Bannister, just committed to the club for the remainder of the season, pulled off a fine save to his right minutes later as Griff looked to get straight back into it but Warwick looked the more likely to score again and on 26 minutes Marc Passey picked up a loose ball and drilled in a pile driver into the top corner. Luke Cole continued his recent goal scoring form with the third on 38 and the game was effectively over by half time.

Second half and Jak Jeys finally opened his Warwick account on 61 minutes after having no luck in his first two games at the club. Joe Smith was brought down on the edge of the box and Jeys stepped up to dip a delightful free kick over the Griff keeper.

With the Man of the match Rich Powell driving down the left and putting in quality balls Racing looked a threat time and again.

The returning Adam Knight then showed his strength as he powered through and drilled in the 5th on 80- minutes before Skipper Scott Turner turned in after Griff failed to clear their lines on 83.

Racing Club Warwick have no fixture this weekend and are back in action on Saturday 20th October at Townsend Meadow when they face Chelmsley Town.
