Racing Club Warwick won through to the semi-final of the Midweek Challenge Cup after a dogged display against a strong Tividale outfit.
High flying Tividale from the West Midlands Regional Premier started brightly and had the early pressure but Warwick opened the scoring on 13 minutes when Jack Taylor fed Marc Passey who coolly slotted home. Almost immediately the hosts were level when Bustin fired high into the net from a tight angle. It took just 5 more minutes for Warwick to edge in front again when on 20 minutes Josh O'Grady jinked past several Tividale players before cutting the ball back for Luke Cole to smash home.
On a difficult pitch the second half played out without any further scoring and some solid defensive work from Warwick all over the pitch restricted Tividale to very little opportunity to get back on level terms. Warwick march into the semi final where they face Coventry Copsewood with Atherstone waiting in the final for the victors.
