Racing Club Warwick followed up their FA Vase win over Leicester Road with a thumping return to league form against Alvis. The early season strugglers started off resolute and frustrated Warwick early on with a goal line clearance and a shot from Knight the only real opportunities in the first half hour. It took until the 31st minute to open their account when Church set up Stephens to bundle the ball over the line. This forced Alvis out and Slevin doubled the lead on 40 finding himself in space and unleashing an unstoppbale drive into the bottom corner from 30 yards. Knight added to his growing total on 69 when Slevin crossed and Church finished superbly on 84 after fine work from Leaver to make it four. Debutant Kavanagh opened up his Warwick account on 87 after a Vadasz assist and then again on 89 after a Billington cross was dropped by the keeper he smartly drove home.
