In a scrappy first half Knight got away from the well organised Paget back line but his chipped shot went over the keeper and goal and a Hutchcox header from a Leaver corner just went wide. Second half saw a better game and Knight was unlucky after showing good strength down the right to get away from the defender but his shot narrowly went wide of the far post. Knight saw a fierce curling shot hit the post before Linton cut the ball back for Price who's shot from six yards agonisingly lifted over the bar. Billington raced away on the left but his shot went wide and a Leaver shot went wide as Racing upped the tempo. looked to Two poor challenges from Paget's Bradley saw the Ranger sent off and a spate of yellow cards for the visitors came as they looked to hang on for a battling point. Just as it looked like the points being shared, a testing deep cross from Jack Taylor saw Knight challenge with the keeper and as the ball left the area on the left Naven-Jones fired an inch perfect shot across the goal into the far corner. Protests for a foul on the keeper were waived away and relief for the Racing faithful who see their side go into Tuesday's clash with early table toppers Studley in fifth place. Racing then travel to Heath Hayes on Saturday before entertaining Coventry Copeswood on Bank Holiday Monday.
