Racing Club Warwick entertained Copeswood in the quarter finals of the Birmingham Midweek Cup with players returning from the weekends stretched squad. In a match not too worthy of chance mentions, Racing really only looked threatening late on with Brown skimming one just past the post before Morton cut inside beating two players before dragging a shot wide. In the final minute a Brown swivel shot was superbly saved by the Copeswood stopper and the match went to penalties. Smith, Malley and Slevin put Racing 3-1 up after two super stops from Piggott in the Racing goal before misses from Brown, Wright and Nwuso saw victory snatched away in dramatic fashion. Racing travel to Stafford on Saturday looking to return to league form after last weekens defeat at Littleton.
