Under the guidance of Jason Pyott and his team, Mark Edwards, James Hughes and Ryan Woodwood, and with the only pre-season under their belt being the abandoned game v Coventry Alvis, Racing looked a little rusty at the start. But, buoyed on by a healthy crowd of 163 and as the game progressed they looked more comfortable and were unfortunate not to take the lead when Skipper William's penalty was well saved by the Hinckley stopper. Sankoh soon made up for the miss when he hit the opener after a mix-up at the back from the visitors on 27 minutes.

Second half and Racing were looking more and more comfortable. A second goal scored by Fletcher from the spot on 65 settled the game down for the hosts and a fine third followed on 76 when Boyle swept the ball home after some delightful one touch passing in the build up.
