Plans afoot for expansion and Academy

Racing Club Warwick will look to field a Women's team from season 2020/21 as the club look to expand their facilities and branch out to encompass both Women's and Disability football.

Chairman Gary Vella said 'With the planned infrastructure changes for next year, we aim to create a high performing environment that puts the development of local Women footballers at the forefront. As a club we will put into place a structure that strives for progression and ambition in all departments with the Women's teams developing into a hub for female participation in the Warwick District community. We have spoken to several Junior clubs who we will work with to enable us to put in place good pathways, that will allow Girl's to play from 4 years old right through to semi-professional, if not beyond.

Gary added, 'We have several options but ultimately we wish for a team to play in the Women's Pyramid alongside several development teams in the local leagues. We also plan to offer a Womens's Scholarship Academy'.

More news to follow through the year.
