Racing Club suffered a third straight defeat at the hands of title chasing Romulus.
Manager Easterlow rang the changes after the two previous defeats with Ant Smith and Dale Wigmore coming in for Danny Dubidat and Nick Seabourne. Racing started brightly as they put Romulus on the back foot in the first ten minutes as it looked difficult to tell who was chasing promotion. Then Luke Edwards chopped down Jordan Nadat and Dean Rathbone stepped up to slot home the penalty on 11 minutes and the game changed in the blink of an eye. Nadat then headed home unopposed on 19 minutes from a corner kick. Just four minutes later and Nadat again headed in from a deep cross after Edwards missed his header and Racing were all at sea. Edwards made amends by saving on the line after James Wardle failed to gather but on 36 minutes Nadat got his hat trick with a shot from distance that went in off the post.
Racing needed to improve second half and Muzzy Nduna almost got one back after intercepting a poor cross field pass but the keeper saved well. Rathbone almost made it five but Wardle saved and then saved Nadats rebound effort. Danny Dubidat then almost headed home but the keeper stood firm. Rathbone came within a whisker before the fifth did come courtesy of a nice Nadat layoff for Josh Willis to drive home on 70 minutes. Sam Jackson struck the Romulus crossbar after some nice play from Adam Miles and Tom Smith and Miles headed over after a deep cross from Danny Fraser. But Romulus struck a sixth when Rathbone curled in after Edwards gave the ball away in the middle.
