Racing Club Warwick 4 Cadbury Athletic 1
Warwick begin 3 home games in a week with comfortable win
Racing Club Warwick begun a three home week run with a comfortable victory over Cadbury Athletic. Shuffling the pack again, and without several players due to injury, Warwick welcomed back Martin Hutchcox who missed the weekend game at Walsall Wood. Warwick started brightly and it was a surprise it took 24 minutes to open the scoring. Wade Malley crossed between the back four for Luke Cole to slot home past the keeper. Cadbury equalised 2 minutes later with a fierce dipping strike but 2 minutes further on Lewis Hudson's super ball across fed Luke Church who finished well at the far post. Luke Cole then got his second on 43 minutes after a lovely assist from Henry Leaver saw the striker beat the advancing keeper. Alex Price and Henry Leaver were pulling the strings in the middle with Lewis Hudson and Luke Church providing width to trouble their opponents.
Malley stung the Cadbury keepers hands early second half and Warwick put the game out of reach on 71 minutes when Hudson fired in off the cross-bar with a rasping strike. Ryan Billington and Elliott Powell looked comfortable in the full back positions and Billington produced a fine challenge late on.
Racing go into Thursday nights home game against Leicester Road and Saturday's home game with Hinckley looking to overturn their two opponents for a top four finish.
