Racing Club Warwick travelled to Birmingham to face Cadbury looking to get back to wining ways and comfortably came home with three points. Despite a last minute goal from the Chocolate Men, Warwick were mainly in control throughout despite an injury ravaged squad meaning a few players playing in unfamiliar positions. Luke Cole had a header cleared off the line early on before the always dangerous Odane Barnes dragged a shot wide for Cadbury. The front man then looked like he was going to put the hosts one up but a fine stop from the keeper James Behan, in for the suspended Charlie Bannister, kept the score level. With Cadbury now looking more likely to open the scoring after a good ten minute spell it was against the run of play when Warwick opened the scoring. A super run from Ben Mackey saw the top goal scorers shot well parried by the keeper but the ball came out to Trea Bertie who thumped the ball home on 31 minutes. Just a few minutes later and it was 2. A superb drop of the shoulder in midfield from Henry Leaver and precise through ball to Bertie saw the in form Racer curl a beautiful shot into the top corner from 25 yards. Wade Malley at left back was superb, constantly mopping up any wide threat and using the ball superbly to set up Warwick's attack. Alex Price was pulling the strings in the middle with both Chris Johnson and Luke Cole shutting down any middle threat with aplomb.

Warwick face Chelmsley Town at Townsend Meadow in the Midweek Floodlit cup on Tuesday as they look to go one better in the competition this year before hosting Uttoxeter Town on Saturday.
