Racing Club Warwick followed up Saturday's FA Cup win at Malvern by mauling Paget Rangers 5-0 at Townsend Meadow.
Despite Ben Mackey still out injured, Adam Knight unavailable and Wade Malley sidelined after a knock on Saturday, Warwick looked positive from the off and Henry Leaver finished well after a Luke Cole header to put them ahead on 3 minutes.
Paget almost responded when keeper Charlie Bannister caught the on-rushing forward but with credit to the player he stayed on his feet but crossed too deep to trouble the scoreline.
Warwick were looking good moving forward and it was on 39 minutes when a super strike from Martin Slevin doubled the advantage and just 5 minutes later Slevin scored an almost identical goal albeit further out.
Bannister made a fine save early second half as Paget looked for a way back, saving well low down to his left. Slevin struck a post from a free kick looking for his hat trick and with Alex Price pulling the strings in midfield it was surprising it took until the 73rd minute for the fourth goal. A delightful free kick was met by Luke Cole at the far post with a firm header. Another super Price ball just two minutes later, this time met by Skipper Scott Turner, who thundered a header in to complete a satisfying night for the Racers.
Racing Club Warwick will travel to Coalville Town in the FA Cup on September the 8th whilst this weekend they host Pegasus Juniors in the FA Vase, kick off 3pm at Townsend Meadow.
