Racing Club Warwick followed up last weeks FA cup win with their first away league win of the season.
After losing their opening game of the season at Lichfield, things looked dicey again as Hayes took the lead soon after hitting the crossbar as Warwick looked sluggish in the opening 30 minutes. A fine headed goal from Matt O'Donerty on twenty minutes who rose unmarked sparked Warwick into life though and substitute Ross Quartermaine on for Wade Malley who had suffered a back problem, equalised after a well timed run into the box on 27 minutes.
A superb individual goal from Gerard McGahey on 31 minutes altered the game completely as Warwick then dominated. Ryan Billington intercepted and fed McGahey who raced on to beat the advancing keeper and slide home from a tight angle.
Luke Cole extended the lead on 52 minutes with a calm finish after getting away from the back line and Captain Scott Turner scored a fine header from a corner on 62 for his first goal for the club since his move from Highgate United.
Man of the match Quartermaine capped off a fine display with his second goal and despite a late goal from Heat Hayes at the death Warwick were well worthy of the win.
Racing face Cadbury Athletic on Tuesday 21st, 745 kickoff at Townsend Meadow, before travelling to Malvern Town on Saturday 25th for their FA Cup clash.
