Racing Club Warwick shone in the sunshine as they dismantled their higher league opponents at Townsend Meadow.
Warwick started brightly and only a fine save by the keeper from a Ben Mackey shot and a header defected wide from a Mackey header prevented the hosts from scoring in the first few minutes. Mackey did open the scoring on 24 minutes after Richard Powell's super cross could only be touched goalwards by a defender for Mackey to guide home. Callum Bell doubled the scoring on 34 minutes after a fine driving run saw him strike from 25 yards over the despairing keepers clutches.
Racing were hardly troubled and when United did pose a threat Scott Turner, making his debut from Highgate United, and Sean Castleton looked a strong barrier to break. With Beasley and Price pulling the strings in the middle and Trea Bertie and Rich Powell assisting Mackey on the flanks Racing looked likely to score ever ytime they pushed forward.
Warwick were good value for the halftime lead and it took just 15 seconds after the restart for Powell to score Warwick's third.
Racing's strength this term showed when they brought on Wade Malley, Martin Slevin, Ronee Hendricks, Henry Leaver and Mike Ellis on 60 minutes as Scott Easterlow's pre-season work-outs for the squad were implemented.
Mackey wrapped up the rout from the penalty spot on 85 minutes to complete a satisfying afternoon for the club.
Warwick face a test on Tuesday as they host Rugby Town at Townsend Meadow, kickoff 745pm.
