Racing Club travelled to Walsall Wood for a Quarter Final clash with the bizarre spectacle of juggling players with a league fixture scheduled the following evening. With Wade Malley and Lewis Hudson cup-tied and several players injured, Mike Ellis came back into the squad for his first game in two months. Rich Powell almost gave Warwick the lead when put through but the ball stuck under his feet and the keeper saved well with his feet. The game was evenly balanced possession wise but Wood always looked more likely to score and did in the 42nd minute when Fitzpatrick headed past Tom Cross. Just a few minutes into the second half the recently crowned League champions doubled their lead when Sullivan danced through several Warwick players to fire home superbly. Ellis should of pulled one back but headed over and Walsall Wood finished the game off with another Fitzpatrick effort after a fine save from Cross initially. The game ended with casualties as Paul Holland, Luke Church and Mike Ellis were all substituted for injuries and Youth Keeper Scott Davis made his debut late on - up front.
Warwick have to patch up for Wednesday night against Littleton as they strive to put as many points on the board as possible.
