Warwick and Leamington to play for the Tony Horley Cancer Charity Cup and raise money for Myton Hospice

Tony Horley in Leamington days
Racing Club Warwick and Leamington FC go head to head in a pre-season fixture on Tuesday 18th July in a game that will see money raised for Myton Hospice. Collection buckets and 50p from every pint of Church Farm Brewery beer and lager sold will benefit the charity. Both sides will compete for the newly formed Tony Horley Cancer Charity Cup. Tony, who is Warwick Treasurer Rob Horley's Father, played for Lockheed Leamington and Rob said 'It is great that Leamington FC are coming over again and we wanted to combine this fixture with some real community spirit and what better way than to raise money for a local charity. I asked if we could provide a nice cup for our glamour pre-season game and name it after my Father, who is associated with both clubs. Our Chairman asked Jim Scott at Leamington and I thank them both for agreeing to this. I hope we can make a lot of money for Myton Hospice and that there is an excellent game of football played on the night'. Kick-off at Townsend Meadow is 19:45 on Tuesday 18th July.
