After the new 3g playing surface and surrounding areas were opened recently, along with a new fabulous seating area down the length of the Racecourse side, cafe and fencing, the club committee have now approved the funding to implement the stand at the far end of the pitch behind the goal.

Racing Club's Ryan Goode said 'This stand serves several purposes. Not only does it provide a fantastic covered area behind the far end goal for first team and full size pitch games, but it is also a covering along the side of the pitch when 9-a-side games occur width ways'.

The stand was included in the original planning in order for the club to install when required.

The club have also approved works to the kitchen facility and to the clubhouse which will all help to make the experience at Townsend Meadow more enjoyable for the community.
