Local buy-in for the plans

Racing Club Warwick are pleased to announce that less than two weeks into club membership renewals they have reached the magical 200 mark. With club membership dwindling in recent years, in-line with the national trend for member owned clubs, to less than 100, it is testament to the support being shown for the club with the new infrastructure off the pitch and the super progress being made on the pitch at all levels and sports.

Club treasurer Rob Horley said 'Recent years have shown a steady decline in club membership, so it is very encouraging to see this demand. When we came on-board the room was not only unappealing to use, but, as we have seen recently, possibly dangerous, hence the new roof we have had to install. Very soon the new members bar will be relocated to the new building, as soon as the old clubhouse refurbishment to a function room is complete next week. This function room will provide a fantastic community room and party/event venue without impacting members or club sporting events which will use the new room. This opens up whole new opportunities for community offerings that we can host and be part of, offerings that I am working on with the Chairman right now. We hope to reach 300 members by the end of January and we'd like to thank everyone for the support shown'.
